OUR EQUIPMENT:
- Viewing Cages:
Custom-built cages are 10’x 7’x 5’ and
are constructed of marine grade 6061 aluminum. All cages are 100% precision
welded by certified welders. Solid weld fabrication means no nuts and
bolts and no assembly required. Large entry hatches with doors open
and close easily to allow divers to safely enter and exit. All cages
float at the water’s surface – at no time are the cages
submerged meaning divers can come and go as necessary. In addition,
all cages have large, adjustable viewing windows for unobstructed
photos.
- Air System:
All air is surface supplied
via hookah hoses. All air lines are suspended out of the water and
well out of range of sharks and other obstructions. Air-lines are then
fed directly down into the dive cages. The low-pressure air system
is powered by two fifty kw Isuzu diesel generators. All regulators
are supplied by Islander
Shark Expeditions.
